Utilize your time wisely

Are you spending your time wisely?

You can either spend your time badly, or invest it wisely. You spend your time wisely when you are doing things that will deliver your dreams, and desires. One way to measure whether your time is being used wisely is to follow these three steps:

[1] Establish what yearly income you need to finance your million dollar desires.

[2] Using the yearly income you determined above, work out the hourly rate you will have to receive to meet that annual income. An easy method is to divide the amount by 50, representing 50 working weeks, and then by 40 representing a 40-hour week. For example, if your income yearly target is $100,000, then your hourly rate is $100,000 divided 50, and then by 40 that gives your hourly rate as $50.

[3] Whenever you are involved in an activity that is valued less than your imputed hourly rate above, consider whether you should discontinue doing it. Examples of time wasters are: long personal telephone calls, errands, long lunches, reading every word in the newspapers or the same stories in different newspapers.

Success thinkers value their time. They insist on doing, at any given moment, their most productive activity. A thought you can ponder!
