The International Coach Federation (ICF) - Philip G. Rochford gets accreditation

Dear High Performance Achiever

Life Coaching is the new industry that is focusing on drawing out potential to lift persons to be the best expression of themselves. While I was coaching long before the industry began to be formally organized and regulate itself, I concluded that internationally recognized certification was valuable. Accordingly, I am now recognized as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) of the International Coach Federation (ICF). A media release on it is shown below.

Philip G. Rochford Innovates Again
Now an ICF Professional Certified Coach

Philip G. Rochford has now become the only Trinidad and Tobago resident citizen to hold the prestigious credential of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) on the Register of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
ICF defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
ICF is the leading global organization for coaches, with over 20,000 members in more than 100 countries and in excess of 9,000 credentialed coaches worldwide.
The Federation is ‘dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches’. There are currently three Trinidad and Tobago resident citizens with the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation on the Register of ICF…but only one, Rochford, with the PCC qualification.
Rochford disclosed: “I am now taking a deeper interest in building the leaders of organizations, rather than focusing on wider corporate governance. I am specially interested in supporting business owners, chief executives, senior executive management, and professionals.”
In the 1975 National Awards of Trinidad and Tobago, Rochford’s dedication to a life of Nation-building was recognized, as he was awarded the Humming Bird Medal (Gold) in the field of Economics. Rochford is a Business Economist, Chartered Banker, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Secretary, Certified Mediator, and holds the M.Sc. (Accounting) degree.
Being an innovator is not a new experience to Rochford, who pioneered the National Commercial Bank from 1970 to 1993, during which time he took the country’s first indigenous Commercial Bank to standard-setting levels in spheres including: a countrywide Branch network, first-time use of technology in local banking, and the unprecedented advancement of women to managerial levels in banking as well the strategic deployment of academically qualified personnel.
As Chairman of the then newly re-incorporated BWIA International 1979 to 1981, Rochford pioneered the integration of the domestic and international air transport services of Trinidad and Tobago.
Under his stewardship as its first Chairman, the National Petroleum Marketing Company grew from the ownership of 17% of the gas stations in Trinidad and Tobago in1973 to 100% in 1977 (with the acquisition of Texaco gas stations).
Over the last 11 years he continued to break new ground as he authored seven motivational books, and co-authored three others with such international writers as
Dr. Wayne Dyer, Anthony Robbins, Stephen Covey, Brian Tracy, Bill Harris, Dr. Pam Brill and Ken Blanchard.
