EMPOWER YOURSELF: How Serious Are You About Your Success?
How Serious Are You About Your Success?
How serious are you about your success?
In the midst of life, there is death. The death of Michael Jackson at age 50
reminded us of this. The world was presented with the greatness of Michael
Jackson through the media, for at least 48 hours after his sudden death. What
an outpouring of his acknowledgment.
As I looked at his several performances on the television and on the web,
something struck me like a bolt of lightening. While from an early age it is clear
that he had raw talent, that innate ability was nurtured, developed, and sustained
through rigorous PREPARATION. Michael alluded to this when he said
how sad he was that he could not go out to play in the Park as other children
did, since he was required to practice, and prepare his craft. The superb dance
performances could not be executed by Michael had he not had massive preparation.
Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance—the 5Ps of excellence.
I reflected on my own life, and concluded that perhaps I could have accomplished
more had I nurtured my inborn talents through greater preparation. I have
decided to put greater effort and preparation in the use of my talents. What about
you? Are you working your talents as assiduously as you could? You alone can
answer that question. It is not too late to take some corrective action. Remember
that the measure of your success is a function of your PREPARATION.
Michael Jackson was not perfect. Not one of us is perfect. One lesson to be
learnt from the death of Michael Jackson is that life is to be lived, making full
use of your unique talents for the benefit of others. Resolve today to do a little
more to polish your talents. Prepare for your brilliance to shine more, by giving
quality PREPARATION time to manifest your greatness. You have a contribution
to make to society in your own special way. Honor it.

EMPOWER YOURSELF: Honor YourCommitments
Honor YourCommitments
HONOR YOUR COMMITMENTS
The extent to which you honor your commitments, is the extent
to which you generate your success. You either keep your
commitments to yourself, and to others, or you do not keep
them. When you do not keep your commitments, forget about
the excuses. You simply have sabotaged your success. Failure
to honor one commitment does not mean that you will not be
successful, but the habit of not keeping commitments will
certainly lead to non-achievement of your goals.
If you make a commitment, honor it. If you make a promise,
keep it. If you set a goal achieve it. Success results from
making and keeping commitments to yourself and others.
Goals, projects and relationships that fail are the direct
result of broken commitments. It’s that simple, that
profound, and that important. A commitment made, must
be honored, as each one is ultimately interconnected with
your success.
The power of your commitment to success suggests that
you should only give your word or commitment when it is
important to give, and has meaning in its accomplishment.
Thus, do not give your word merely to get rid of the moment.
For example, telling someone you will telephone or call
him/her with no commitment, or intention to really do it.
How great is the power of your commitments? Remember
that your ability to honor your commitments directly
impacts your credibility, reputation, trustworthiness,
earning ability, and overall peace of mind.
You are simply one person, but you can still make a
difference in this world. You cannot do everything, but
you can do anything you put your mind to do with
passion and consistency Start the day right with vision
and focus, and finish the day strong, having honored
your commitments. Be the success that you are
capable of being.

EMPOWER YOURSELF: The Power of Forgiveness
The Power of Forgiveness
The Power of Forgiveness
Your mind stores, and can recall events that occurred many years ago. You have the choice to harbor or release events that you have experienced. When someone says or does something that hurts you, it is usually difficult to think kindly of that person. You can dwell on the hurt, or you can release it.
To let go of this horrible hurt tap into the POWER OF FORGIVENESS. You can decide at this very moment to release your baggage of past hurts. Forgiveness releases the
putrid energy that you have stored within yourself.
Forgiveness releases the mental clouds that distort your own power to rise to your best self. A heavy iron ball attached to your leg can represent a past hurt. When you forgive someone who has hurt you, the iron ball that it represents is released, and the act of forgiving the person gives you freedom from a heavy burden.
Thus, to forgive benefits you, rather than the person being forgiven. Forgive whoever has hurt you in the past. Drop the pain of past wounds, to be able to focus on being the best that you can be.
The spiritual concept is indicated by the Lord’s Prayer that states, “ …. forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us ….”
When you tap into the power of forgiveness, you will unleash your undoubted greatness. Make mental room for the gifts that the Universe wants to unfold to you by releasing the pain of past hurts, through the power of forgiveness. You can do it. Just decide and be intentional!

EMPOWER YOURSELF: You Can Generate Success Momentum
You Can Generate Success Momentum
You can generate success momentum
It is time to reflect on, and review what you have
done so far in 2012. On assessment, you may find
that you have not accomplished as much as you
intended. However, this can be corrected by
taking stronger action in the next ninety days.
You will notice that some of the roadblocks that
prevented your success were the following:
• There was considerable discomfort and
inconvenience due to the many sacrifices you
were required to make.
• Following your natural likes and dislikes, and
being guided by your natural preferences and
prejudices, did not energize you to successful action.
• Staying within your comfort zone, not being
prepared to take acceptable risks, and postponing
decisions and actions, prevented your forward
thrust and momentum.
You now have the possibility to generate energy to
take action in the next three months to move
towards fulfilling your dreams for the current year.
Simply follow the one percent success principle:
this requires you every day for the next ninety
days to take at least two action steps in pursuit of
one or both of your two highest priority goals for
this year.
The emphasis is on ACTION STEPS, as opposed to
thinking, dreaming, speaking, or merely writing
about them. Be consistent and persistent in following
this one percent success principle for the next three
months, and you will reap untold benefits in your life.
You will generate success momentum. You can do it.
Step up to your own responsibility and accountability.
