Reflection 3. Beyond hope
Hope is a necessary element in your success equation. Hope is the longing and
wishing for something you do not have, but believe that having it will enhance
your life. Hope is merely your intention that something of importance will happen
in your life, but at the moment it is not clearly achievable. In fact, being
alive always triggers the possibility to hope.
Anyway, be careful that you do not use the concept of hope as a conditioned
belief that there is nothing that you can do, but sit back and hope for the best.
This conditioned belief puts you in a powerless pattern, and stifles the vibrant
action that you could otherwise take to manifest your intention of hope.
Hope is important as it raises your expectations of achievement, and what
you expect you get. However, hope on its own is not enough. You have to go beyond
hope to ACTION. This is akin to the admonition of, faith without works is
dead. Hope without action is fantasy.
You can live in hope, and just wish and wait for things to happen. Alternatively,
you can go beyond the waiting game, and design strategies and plans that will
take you nearer to realizing your hope.
So, what are you hoping for in your life? Review what is the most important
thing you are HOPING for in your life. Consider whether you are taking serious
relevant action to bring your most priority HOPE to fruition. If you are not
developing serious action plans, then start to develop, and activate those plans.
If you are already taking action on your cherished hope, double the effort, and
be consistent in its pursuit. You will then gloriously enter your Door of Hope.
