Reflection 6. Cherish and polish your gift of speech
One of your greatest gifts is that you are able to speak. This permits you to let others
know how you think, feel, and the vision you have for your life. You use speech to convey your innermost feelings, your core values, your expectations, and your hurts.
The tragedy is that since you were speaking from about age 2, and you have
made your way reasonably well in the world, you may think that you do not
need to polish your speaking skills. Yes, you can take your gift of speech to a
higher level. You can polish the speaking gem that you already have. It will improve
the chances of your being more successful. If you understand some of the
elements of effective speaking, you can enhance the power of your messages on
a daily basis every time you speak.
