Do You Want High Performance Results In Your Life?

One of my coaches, Brendon Burchard, recently reminded me of the elements that produce High Performance results. That is one of the roles of a Life Coach—to remind you of what you already know, but for one reason or another you are not following through on your knowledge. What follows is an orientation overview of High Performance.

There are 7 buckets of performance, all starting with the letter ”P.”
The foundational buckets are Purpose, Passion, and Presence. Without PURPOSE any result is accidental. “Without vision the people perish.” You need to have the end in mind. You need to know why you do what you do—your purpose.

Knowing what is your purpose is important, but it has to be done with PASSION. You must enjoy what you are doing and perform it with great enthusiasm. In all your activity PRESENCE is absolutely necessary. It is presence that gives you full awareness of what is happening and enable your ability to maintain high performance.

The other 4 overarching buckets are psychology, physiology, productivity,  and persuasion. PSYCHOLOGY defines your core values, what makes you tick. PHYSIOLOGY defines your physical vibrancy. This is formed by your sleep habits, hydration, diet and exercise.

PRODUCTIVITY is where the rubber meets the road. At the end of the day, results matter. Your productivity is fashioned by the manner in which you prioritize your daily activities to align with your purpose.. PERSUASION is the umbrella under which all elements of high performance reside. Whatever you desire or do has to be communicated, and it has to be done persuasively in order to have the effect of influence that you want.

Simply do a self -assessment of these 7 P’s using the scale of 1 to 10, and where you find a need to take your score nearer to the high point of 10, do what is necessary to impact the area positively.

  1. High performance results provide consistent and sustained high level results—not peaks and lows.
